I think he is an undercover agent working on a case. He knows that the boys are being set up and is trying to help them.

I don’t think there’s any way the porter could be a bodyguard or a government agent of any kind, because he killed two FBI agents and blew up their van.

My first instinct is that he is a member of whatever organization (they’re not necessarily terrorists) set the bomb, and he either has a conscience about sending two innocent guys to prison, or he doesn’t want them getting credit for what he did.

The only other possibility that seems plausible to me is that he is ex-military and was either a friend of Jay’s father or owed him a favor.

I also think he knows the boys are being set up, possibly because it has happened to him or he is an undercover agent or something. I still can’t trust him though, still acts a little shifty.

And what I believe is that the porter himself has some own mission to accomplish, which, just by accident intertwined with the boys’ story.

I also think that he knew about the bombing and he is someone good who is trying to help Jay and Tyler track down Will, and find out who he is and why he set them up. Maybe he just doesn’t want to make it to obvious that he is on their side.

I think he is an investigator of similar incidents in the past. He knows of the organization that Will belongs and he needs to discover the head guy to unravel years of investigating. I think the fbi guys that he killed were not really fbi, but imposters that were trying to kill Tyler and Jay. This guy watches them close enough to protect them, but needs them to search for clues as he also tries to find Will.

I agree with up24×7. There is no way he could be FBI…Just not the character. I do like him though, and I don’t think he’s shifty! lol.
